Confindustria Bulgaria organized the visit of the Central Council of Piccola Industria to Sofia, held during the period September 16-19, 2015.

Piccola Industria is a part of Confindustria, which is an organization of production companies and service companies in Italy, which unites approximately 150 000 enterprises of various sizes, with a total number of more than 5.5 million employees.

During its brief stay, the delegation, consisting of Italian entrepreneurs, interested in the business possibilities in Bulgaria, successfully attended important events and workshops. Piccola Industria made several visits to the country, one of the most interesting ones being the visit to SHPP Tserovo, a part of the Medium Iskar Project, executed according to the public-private partnership scheme between PVB Power Bulgaria AD and the municipality of Svoge. The whole project cost 115 mln EUR and was financed by UniCredit Bulbank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). In his role as the deputy chairman of Confindustria Bulgaria and the main person, engaged in the project development, eng. Plamen Dilkov accompanied the guests, in order to introduce them on the spot with the overall concept of the project, aimed at the sustainable and efficient utilization of the water resources of the Iskar River by using environmentally-friendly and innovative technologies.

The visit of Piccola Industria ended by a visit to the exhibition in the Old Town of Plovdiv – Model - Reconstruction of the House of Kuyumdzhiev, work of the young Bulgarian artist Todor Nanchev, supported by the general sponsor of the Project Bulgaria Engineering EAD (Sole-Owned PLC).
