Eng. Plamen Dilkov, member of the Board of Confindustria Bulgaria and CEO of BG Engineering, took part in a meeting dedicated to the European project H2Start, held on March 24 at the Association’s headquarters, in the presence of the Ambassador of Italy to Sofia, H.E. Marcello Apicella.

The meeting brought together researchers from the National Research Council of Italy (CNR – ITAE), institutional representatives and companies from the energy sector, creating a constructive discussion on the development of hydrogen technologies and the prospects for Bulgaria.

The H2Start project, funded under the Horizon Europe programme, aims to support the energy transition through the establishment of a Centre of Excellence in Stara Zagora, focused on research and innovation in the hydrogen field.

During the discussion, the strategic potential of these technologies clearly emerged, along with the importance of strengthening cooperation between research, institutions and businesses to effectively support the development of the energy sector in the country.
