On April 14, 2025, a meeting was held at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, during which the issues related to the labor shortage in the country were discussed. This shortage affects nearly all sectors of the Bulgarian economy, as well as the need to further accelerate and simplify the procedures for importing workers from third countries.

 The BCCI, in collaboration with the Italian-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce, the Bulgarian-Indian Chamber of Commerce, the Belgium-Bulgaria-Luxembourg Business Club, Confindustria Bulgaria, and the Bulgarian-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce, is strongly committed to this issue. Over the past year, numerous meetings and round tables have been organized with the participation of business representatives, institutions, and companies active in the recruitment of foreign labor.

 Eng. Plamen Dilkov actively participated in the meeting, presenting a number of issues common to both Bulgarian and Italian employers.
