On 11 and 12.03.2021 a training “Management of RES and Energy Efficiency Projects” was held, organized by the Utilities Мagazine and the Center for Educational Services (CES) of the Faculty of Economics of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski”.
The following topics were covered in the training program:
- Management of photovoltaic parks
- Management of photovoltaic projects for own needs
- Wind farm project management
- Implementation of measures to meet targets by obligated parties
- Management of energy efficiency projects
- Energy efficiency and RES policies 2021-2030
The following lecturers took part in the training:

- Nikola Gazdov, Manager, RENERGY;
- Eng. Plamen Dilkov, Energy Expert;
Eng. Plamen Dilkov touched upon topics such as the production of electricity for own needs, improving its quality and trade in white certificates - Certificates of Energy Savings (UES).
The training aimed to present to participants the business opportunities that follow from European and national policies in the field of energy efficiency and RES.
Energy efficiency is the first objective of EU Member States to achieve independence from supply of energy resources from third countries, to achieve climate goals, as well as to increase industrial competitiveness and consumer comfort.
Business planning, financial models, financial instruments, and secondary markets are an integral part of the process of identifying and implementing energy efficiency and RES measures.
