On 22 October 2026, Capalo AI Energy Day 2026 took place in Helsinki. BG Engineering was invited to attend as Capalo AI’s partner for the Bulgarian market.

Now in its third edition, the event provided a platform for discussion on key developments in the energy sector, with a particular focus on battery energy storage systems (BESS), renewable energy integration, electricity market developments, trading, asset optimisation and revenue opportunities. Special attention was given to emerging markets across Central and Eastern Europe, Southern Europe and the Iberian Peninsula.

The energy system is undergoing a fundamental transformation. The rapid expansion of renewable energy and battery storage is accelerating the transition towards a cleaner and more flexible energy model, while also creating new challenges, including grid congestion, increasing system complexity and market volatility.

Addressing these challenges requires advanced technologies, coordinated efforts and closer cooperation across the energy sector.

Against this background, Capalo AI brought together infrastructure investors, project developers, transmission system operators, electricity market participants and other key industry stakeholders, fostering dialogue and the exchange of expertise on the future of the energy system.
