At a meeting, held on July 13, 2015, the Technical Committee of Confindustria Bulgaria put forward and discussed important issues related to the latest changes in the Energy Act. The Bulgarian Parliament studied the issue some time ago, mentioning its worries concerning the changes, which could lead to negative effects on the Bulgarian energy system.
The meeting was attended by eng. Plamen Dilkov, Deputy Chairman of Confindustria Bulgaria – PVB Power and Bulgarian Engineering EAD, Violeta Angelova – ENEL Green Power, Yolanta Chiporikova – Energy Ka, Stoyan Cholakov – Black Sea Technology, Fani Daviodova – Bulgarian Wind-Power Association, Hristo Hristozov – Moncada and Emmanuelle Polio – charge d’affaires at the Embassy of the Republic of Italy to Sofia.
The purpose of the meeting was to prepare and present a common position of the foreign entrepreneurs in Bulgaria, as well as of the diplomatic missions before the Government, in order to avoid unhealthy changes to the Energy Act, as well as to put forward new ideas concerning the improvements to the Bulgarian energy sector, and the status of the country as a whole.
During the meeting, eng. Plamen Dilkov presented the common position of several entrepreneurial associations in Bulgaria, including Confindustria Bulgaria, the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria, the British-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Advantage Austria – the Chamber of Economy of Austria in Bulgaria. Mr. Emmanuelle Polio presented the diplomatic initiative on behalf of the Italian Embassy with other diplomatic missions for overcoming the situation in the energy sector.
